In order to continue growing this vision, we are seeking your support to bring Womens sheds to WA.  If you would like to contribute to our vision, bring your skills and networks to one of the following six subcommitees.

1. STRATEGIC ALLIANCES COMMITTEE 

​

Purpose: Develop partnerships, alliances and collaborations with and within the community which will support the key objectives of The Womens Shed Movement WA.   To seek out partnerships, alliances and collaboration with external stakeholders such as local government, Women & girl focused NFP’s, professional mentors, corporate and community organisations, associations, education institutions.    To seek out partnerships, alliances and collaboration with internal stakeholders who have Friends Membership of Womens Shed Movment WA.

2. SITE COMMITTEE 

​

Purpose: Identify fit for purpose sites to locate a Women’s Shed. Investigate methods and opportunities to establish a shed. Develop proposals and commence discussions. 

​

3. NEWSLETTER AND COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE

​

Purpose: The Newsletter and Communications Committee will work together to promote membership of WSMWA by providing information through a regular newsletter.  The newsletter will gather reports from other committees, encourage involvement in learning opportunities, and foster enthusiasm for putting new skills into action.

4. SUPERVISOR AND COORDINATOR COMMITTEE

​

Purpose: Responsible to ensure that the membership is provided with the necessary knowledge and skills required to operate machinery and equipment safely and harmoniously in a WSMWA shed.  The Committee will identify, define, recruit and evaluate the necessary personnel required to operate a WSMWA shed.

5. DESIGN AND TOOLS COMMITTEE 

​

Purpose: Investigate and detail the design features and specifications for a shed or workshop within the limitations of the site and consistent with the needs of the demographic. Capital acquisition of tools and machinery that meets occupational health and safety standards. Understand the current requirements of Occupational Health and Safety Standards.

6. FUNDRAISING AND SPONSORSHIP COMMITTEE

​

Purpose: Engage and collaborate with external stakeholders to Identify fundraising and sponsorship opportunities with philanthropic, corporate, Women & girl focused NFP’s, professionals, community organisations, associations, education institutions, local, state and federal government organisations and individuals who will support the key objectives of The Womens Shed Movement WA.  Identify fundraising and sponsorship opportunities through networking with internal stakeholders who are Friends Membership of Womens Shed Movment WA.
